Orca (Killer Whale) is a majestic creature associated with Strength, Dignity, Prosperity and Longevity.
Sometimes called the Wolves of the Sea, Killer Whales are admired for their hunting skill, intelligence and devotion.
Killer Whales often guide people to safety when they are caught on the water in stormy weather. Killer Whales are thought to be the reincarnations of the great chiefs.
In 1988, she was chosen for a purchase award at the 3rd annual Southwest Alaska Native Art Exhibit in Sitka, Alaska. She moved to Washington State the next year. She studied the North-west coast Indian Design at University of Washington, under Marvin Oliver in 1990.
Since 1990, Yukie Adams has been creating silkscreen prints, paintings and designs. After her husband Henry Adams passed away in 1994, she started the wood carivng.
